The Role As the Leading Hand Roofer, you will take ownership of roofing projects, ensuring all works are completed to the highest standards in line with the Building Code of Australia and Australian Standards. Your role will involve overseeing project scheduling, managing materials, and ensuring strict adherence to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies. You will work closely with team members, mentoring junior staff, conducting quality audits, and completing roof reports as required. Your ability to prepare and interpret project drawings and specifications will be essential to ensuring seamless project delivery, and your strong leadership skills will help foster a productive and safe working environment. What You Need The ideal candidate will possess: Qualifications: Trade qualification in roof plumbing (metal or tile) and a strong understanding of both residential and commercial roofing systems. Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor staff and manage team members effectively. Technical Knowledge: Ability to prepare and interpret drawings and specifications, complete check measures, and accurately order materials. WHS Compliance: Strong understanding of Workplace Health and Safety regulations, with the ability to complete risk assessments and ensure team compliance. Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) to manage project-related documentation and communications. Organisational Skills: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and keep projects on track in a fast-paced environment. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to liaise with clients, team members, and external stakeholders. Proactive Attitude: Willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities as the business grows.
