Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor , the skilled and qualified Leading Hand Plant Mechanic will be responsible for leading a team to success in the new machines department to ensure delivery dates and deadlines are met. You will be working on Caterpillar building and construction equipment, performing a variety of tasks. These can include dealer provided option installations, maintenance and build ups to customers specification ensuring optimum safety and efficiency throughout the entire build.
Rosters: 8 days on, 6 days off, 12 hours each day
To be successful the following is required:
Previous leadership experience working in a similar position Australian-recognised Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant Trade Certificate Previous experience working on heavy, civil and construction size earthmoving equipment Ability to work well under pressure while having a good safety aptitude Excellent time management, punctuality and communication skills Strong diagnostic skills are recommended Sound knowledge of Microsoft programs Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment Be well aligned with and exhibit WesTrac's core values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect and Customer What we offer:
