About Our Client Our client is a leading Australian agricultural company with operations across 30+ locations nationwide and over 7,000 employees.
Known for their commitment to producing high-quality fresh produce, they operate in a fast-moving industry where adaptability and teamwork are crucial.
Their focus is on delivering exceptional results through strong collaboration and practical, hands-on leadership.
This role is part of their Department B team, integral to their production operations.
Job Description Support Tray Line Operations: Oversee loading and unloading trays, operating machinery safely, and ensuring smooth workflows to achieve production targets.
Tunnel Management: Help with filling and emptying tunnels, operating machinery in compliance with safe working procedures, and maintaining cleanliness during and after production runs.
Leadership and Problem-Solving: Act as a go-to for the team, resolving issues as they arise, conducting toolbox meetings, and stepping in to guide the team during supervisor absences.
Documentation and Compliance: Keep up with paperwork, including QA traceability, stock counts, and reporting hazards, injuries, or maintenance needs promptly.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and other departments to ensure smooth tray movements and manage shifting priorities when schedules change unexpectedly.
Equipment Checks and Maintenance: Conduct forklift and machinery checks, ensuring equipment is safe, functional, and compliant with audits.
Multi-Area Support: Rotate through different areas of the business as needed, learning all aspects of operations to provide coverage during leave periods.
Data Management: Creation and management of Safe Work Procedures, administration duties as required The Successful Applicant A successful Leading Hand should have: Has practical leadership experience, with a strong focus on hands-on involvement.
Can adapt quickly when plans change or things get busy.
A natural people person who's approachable and easy to work with.
Computer literate and comfortable with basic office software.
Forklift license required, Front End Loader licence is a bonus.
Someone who's ready to pitch in, help the team, and get things done.
This is a permanent full time role and applicants will need full Australian working rights.
What's on Offer Competitive hourly rate of $31.42, with 38-hour weeks, 5 days a week.
