The Queensland Distribution Centre (QDC) has an opportunity for an energetic and committed individual to support a team of warehouse associates as a Team Lead.
The successful Associate will be responsible for supporting the Warehouse Coach/s to execute daily warehouse activities by engaging employees in their relevant process areas.
PRIMARY DUTIES (include, but are not limited to): Proactively promote, monitor and improve safety within all areas of QDC.Promote and demonstrate behaviour in line with Caterpillar's Values in Action - Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Teamwork and Sustainability.Drive continuous improvement and quality expectations.Work to initiate and conduct Process Improvement Dialogues (PIDs).Facilitate Safety Improvement Dialogues (SIDs).Evaluate waste or imbalance and adjust workflows accordingly, including delegation and scheduling of work tasks.Collect data and update metric boards, monitoring People, Quality, Velocity & Cost (PQVC) performance, providing the Warehouse Coach/s with regular updates.Train and develop employees on all processes, safe job procedures (SJP's) and standard work.Promote strong collaboration and partnerships within all process areas.Work closely with your Coach to identify skills gaps and develop your own Individual Learning Plan (ILP).To be successful in this position, you must possess the following: Strong commitment and focus on Safety & Quality.Strong Systems based Knowledge of SAP.Passionate about leading, motivating, engaging and mentoring people.Excellent communication skills, including active listening skills with the ability to liaise effectively with warehouse employees and QDC Leaders.Willing to take initiative, act decisively and proactively to remedy situations.Strong understanding of Stock Record Accuracy practices and Continuous Improvement.Previous experience leading a team will be highly regarded.Posting Dates: January 14, 2025 - January 30, 2025
