Principal activities undertaken include supporting a small team ensuring deadlines are met, assisting with technical queries, conducting prestart meetings with the crew, promoting safety standards whilst supporting safety KPI's.
You will play a crucial part within our team supporting our haulage operations by maintaining our impressive fleet of Road Trains, primarily Kenworth T909's, C509s and C510s, equipped with 18-speeds and quad or triple configuration side tippers with the latest technology and specifications.
This is a permanent full-time position based on a 2/1 roster with rotating day and night shifts, offering Fly In, Fly Out from Perth WA or Brisbane QLD.
What is required?
Australian or New Zealand recognised trade qualification Experience leading and/or mentoring a small team within a similar environment A strong commitment to safety and quality of work Demonstrated diagnostic, fault finding, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills The ability to perform physically demanding tasks Unlimited Australian Work Rights Applicants with experience maintaining Kenworth heavy haulage fleet with Cummins engines and hydraulic tipping trailers will be held in high regard! About Onslow Iron
Our Onslow Iron project is set to redefine mining in Western Australia through world-first autonomous road trains, industry leading dust free transport, innovative transhipping and resort-style workforce accommodation.
Taking shape 150 kilometres east of Onslow, the project will ship around 35 million tonnes of iron ore per year and is expected to have a mine life of more than 30 years.
The project will encompass the Ken's Bore mine (approximately 150km from Onslow), Onslow Port infrastructure, Onslow Resort and Truck Maintenance Facility.
