About the Job: Located in Paget, MackayMonday - Friday, occasional Saturday shift requiredOngoing (Temp to Permanent) Opportunity.Requirements Minimum 5yrs experience in heavy vehicle or engine related businessCurrent Drivers LicenceStrong knowledge & experience with Western Star, MAN, MTU, Dennis Eagle, Detroit Diesel and Allison productsAble to display positive leadership skills to a high performing teamPrevious experience as a Leading Hand or Senior Mechanic - highly regardedHR Licence or ability to obtain - highly regardedResponsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of mechanics and apprentices of varying levels of experience, leveraging from their strengths and developing their areas for improvementBe predominantly hands on and lead day-to-day service work including diagnosis, servicing and minor/major repairsLead, control and direct the workshop team to ensure that efficiencies in operation are achieved and monitoredAssist leadership team to ensure accurate technician reports, timekeeping and job reports are completedEnsure the team deliver quality workmanship and enhance the overall customer experience.At Haynes, we keep things simple: We back the talent of our people and land the jobs that best suit their needs.
