Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Leading Hand Carpenter to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating site activities on residential building projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise carpentry teams to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. Coordinate with project managers to plan and organise daily tasks and workflow. Provide hands-on carpentry expertise and guidance to the team. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with other trades and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution. Train and mentor junior carpenters, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Monitor and manage inventory of materials and tools. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients and team members. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential construction. Previous leadership or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. Commitment to OH&S regulations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
