Come and discover the opportunity to join the team at Hitachi.About the Role:As a Leading Hand at our brand new Gunnedah facility, you will work closely with the Workshop Supervisor to lead and guide employees in performing their tasks safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:Ensure compliance with the company's Environmental Policy, Quality Assurance System, and Workplace Health & Safety requirements.Motivate and lead the team to maximize labour output while meeting standard repair times.Ensure all work is carried out in adherence to quality procedures, minimizing rework.Set up job tasks, issue appropriate documentation, and work instructions to the workshop floor.Assist in dealing with sub-contractors to ensure the best turnaround times and quality of work.Assist technicians in documenting and using SWP & JHA's.Administer job cards and timesheets, ensuring they are up to date and completed daily.Adapt procedures for testing and diagnosing equipment faults when manufacturer guidelines are insufficient.To be successful in this role you will:Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed, and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else.Have previous experience leading a team to achieve and exceed set goals.Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognized) diesel or mobile plant trade qualifications.Have good communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long-term relationships.Have the ability to navigate complex technical issues to deliver high-quality outcomes in repair and maintenance services with minimal to zero rework.Benefits:We are offering:Permanent Full Time Position in a leading OEM with long-term job security.Competitive pay rate + company biannual bonuses!Exclusive staff discount on a range of goods and services.OEM training and opportunities for upskilling with access to the latest technologies.Supportive mentors who value your input in finding new and improved ways to achieving success.Be a part of a leading OEM which genuinely values and ensures everyone is happy and safe at work!About the company:Distributor of Hitachi, Bell, and John Deere products and services for the construction, mining, quarry, forestry, demolition, and recycling industries.
