Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting practices, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our financial information and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and payment processing. Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts. Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making. Provide mentorship to junior staff members, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft to enhance efficiency in financial operations. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to company policies. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations that may impact the organisation. Experience
Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the financial services sector. Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is essential. Experience in financial management and mentoring is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
