The Leader of Student Pathways Support Indicative DutiesThe 2pt Coordinator will report directly to the Assistant Principal and ensure appropriate levels of staffing are available for the space. The coordinator will lead staff to meet the intended outcomes of the students' engagement and if needed in their transition to an adjusted learning arrangement.
The Leader of Student Pathways Support will: Communicate with members of the Executive, Senior Leaders and relevant middle leaders to determine best ways to support the needs of students presenting to the space.Cultivate a learning environment that encourages positive student behaviour and supports the individual needs of students as they engage with industry training and employment.Lead the implementation of a range of support structures for students on learning plans relating to diversity needs, behavioural needs, medical or workplace arrangements.Identify and coordinate internal and external stakeholders, support services and agencies to respond to the needs of students.Track, report and communicate the initial and planned support for students as they present to the space.Mentor and coach teachers and support staff, to increase the capacity of staff in making adjustments to structures designed to meet the needs of students across their learning.Knowledge, Skills and Experience:Applicants should be enthusiastic, collegial, collaborative, flexible and have:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to facilitate the service across the 2 campuses of CathWest.A commitment to fostering student wellbeing, behaviour, and attitudes in alignment with Catholic Values, prioritising the pastoral and developmental needs of students.High levels of coordination and record keeping to ensure student use of the space has positive outcomes.Ability to teach English or Mathematics to Stage 6 level is highly desirable.Ability to teach or willingness to train in a VET course is preferable.Experience leading in a wellbeing capacity is desirable.Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance.Tertiary Qualification in Education.Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).Demonstrated knowledge or experience on student wellbeing focused programs and/or initiatives.Sound knowledge of and commitment to our Catholic faith and mission in Catholic education.Application RequirementsBy Friday 22 November 2024, formally express your interest in the position through the provision of:
