Geraldton Flexible School is a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition. There are 23 Flexible Schools throughout Australia who offer a full-time and multiyear secondary education program for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling. Enrolled young people may express a broad range of complex education and social needs and flexible schools respond with a variety of flexible and innovative teaching and learning practices including vocational planning and the development of social connectedness.
The purpose of a Flexible School is to provide young people with a varied and holistic set of learning experiences supporting them to identify and pursue an individual transition to adulthood, employment, further education and training and social connectedness.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Leader of Site Operations and Data Management has delegated responsibility from the Principal to lead site operations and data management of the Geraldton Flexible School and any outreach services related to the school. The Leader of Site Operations and Data Management in collaboration with the site Leadership Team and under direction of the Principal provides leadership and supervision to staff and the young people of the campus. This role has responsibility for the operational oversight of the site's daily operations and holds Principal's delegation in their absence. The role additionally has responsibility for tracking and managing data required for quality assurance and to inform strategic improvement plans to ensure better outcomes for young people and building capacity of staff.
ABOUT YOU Demonstrated commitment to the values of Edmund Rice Education Australia.Capacity to lead the FLS culture in working under the four Principles of operation (Respect, Safe and Legal, Honesty and Participation).Demonstrated interpersonal skills that support a strong community focus both within and external to the school.Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a teacher in WA and hold a current open driver's license and willingness to drive school buses.A minimum of 5 years' relevant leadership experience in a school environment (flexi school experience highly regarded).Relevant tertiary qualifications and current teaching registration in WA.Ability to obtain and maintain a Working with Children Check (WWCC).Hold appropriate Australian Work Rights.Valid First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.Demonstrated leadership experience and substantial knowledge of, and experience in, most of the aspects of leadership.Proven leadership and skills in the tracking and use of data to inform strategies and improvement plans for young people, staff and organisations.Demonstrated leadership in collating data to contribute to government reports, site audits and improvement plans.Previous experience in leading and building capacity of staff and providing site leadership and organisation.Demonstrated capacity to provide leadership in trauma-informed practice and wellbeing support.Capacity to provide leadership in flexible learning (curriculum and transformative pedagogy).Current knowledge of WA and C.A.R.E Curriculum, learning practices, research and pedagogy.Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.Experience and confidence when engaging with parents, and is competent in managing complex situations.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.Bus license required or willingness to obtain one.WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU: Learn how to do school differently.Salary sacrificing benefits, including FBT exempt payments of up to $15,900 p/a.Supportive multi-disciplinary team environment.Induction, wellbeing and ongoing professional development.Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Relocation allowance and temporary accommodation will be negotiated for out-of-town applicants.HOW TO APPLY:
