The College is a specialist facility providing students with opportunities to achieve their HSC and national qualifications.We invite suitably qualified teachers to apply for the following Leadership position.Leader of Pastoral Care + teaching loadThe person appointed will have a permanent teaching position in the school and will involve a teaching load.Co2 point "Leaders of" positions are offered a contract within a set 3-year cycle as co-ordinator. The current 3 year cycle is 2025 - 2027. All co-ordinator positions are advertised every 3 years within the school and incumbents are eligible for reappointment.Applicants must:have a current NSW Working with Children Checkfull accreditation with NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA)Teachers who are appointed to a leadership position, whether new to the position or applying to be re-appointed, should have begun, or will begin to make a commitment to the requirements of the diocese Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead document, Category C (Category E for positions of Catechesis and School Evangelisation), during this next triennium cycle.To be eligible to apply for a (Co2) position a teacher would normally be a fulltime permanent teacher classified Step 2 Proficient on the Teachers Standards Classification.Each teacher in a leadership position (Co2) will participate in an ongoing performance review in accordance with the Diocesan Policy & Procedures for Performance Review of Coordinators.Key Capabilities:Successful applicants in this position would need to meet the following criteria:Experience and willingness to authentically lead Catholic MissionCapacity and skills to lead others to enable success for all studentsAbility to lead learning and change for improved student outcomesProvide evidence of qualifications in a specialised facultyBe able to work as a member of a committed team of professional teachers, dedicated to providing quality teaching and learning in partnership with the parent communityDemonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to lead and develop teamwork and individuals within a teamDemonstrate the ability to lead staff within the school or professional learning team that is informed by feedback, analysis of current research and practice to improve well-being and educational outcomes for studentsBe able to lead colleagues to evaluate and develop pastoral care and well-being programs based on current research and dataSupport and lead the College 3 Year School Improvement Plan and the School Annual Improvement PlanYour application should address the above criteria including the nomination of two (2) referees including a Parish Priest, Priest or Minister.Applications must be received by 9.00 am Monday 4 November 2024.Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools Limited is committed to creating Child Safe Schools.Child Protection Legislation requires successful applicants to be subject to employment screening.An Equal Opportunity Employer.
