Working within our Field Operations team and reporting to the Head of Operations Delivery, we have an opportunity for a seasoned professional to join us in the newly created role of Leader Contract Delivery.
This role is responsible for delivering a $60M portfolio of work that consists of maintenance, major projects, company and customer-initiated works. You will lead and manage a statewide team of 5-7 who are responsible for the delivery of TasNetworks' Transmission and Distribution Program of Works (PoW) across the programming cycle.
As Leader Contract Delivery, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the PoW keeping asset, network and budgetary requirements at front of mind. Key to the success of this role is ensuring contract ownership within the Operations group and managing operational and commercial performance and relationships with key stakeholders to ultimately create those long-term sustainable partnerships.
About the role
Band 7 role
To be successful as Leader Contract Delivery, you will hold tertiary level qualifications in Engineering, Business or Commerce or extensive demonstrated experience in a similar role. This, coupled with your comprehensive knowledge in all aspects relating to the planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of distribution and transmission networks will set you up for success.
Essential to the role is:
Proven ability to manage timeframes and deliver work
High level problem-solving aptitude with skills in driving results
Business acumen
Demonstrated ability in the management of contracts and understanding of confidentiality as it relates
Industry knowledge is preferred. This is a state-based role and regular travel is required.
