How will your ideas contribute to shaping what's next?As our Lead Wind Engineer for our clients' projects in Western Australia (based in Perth), you'll play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that 'bring ideas to life' for our clients. Situated in our Energy Practice you will work across a multi-disciplinary team of professionals across Australia on a wide variety of projects of our Energy & Industrial service group, getting exposure to the most exciting major projects in Western Australia and other challenging projects across Australia.
Your role will include:Advising our clients on wind farm project development, design and operation from scoping, concept, feasibility and to design, FID and development.Manage, or be part of delivering procurement processes including preparation of EPC/IPP type functional specifications, tender evaluations and contract negotiations.Support project implementation through a variety of roles that include detailed design, owner's engineer, lenders engineer and operation and maintenance phase support.Working closely with cross-functional project teams and project managers to support client needs and financial decisions.Applying a strong knowledge of wind energy technologies to and the evolving renewable energy technology landscape globally, and the evolving regulatory requirements to provide confident technical advice to clients.Working with wind energy analysts and battery experts to optimise client projects.Being responsive to client's needs and maintaining a reputation for quality and timely advice.Providing technical leadership to team members and the ability to work in cross-functional teams to support the diverse project requirements of our clients.Western Australia is at the forefront of the energy transition globally. Reporting to our Energy Practice Leader for WA and the NT, we are looking for someone with experience in senior engineering roles with:
Bachelor degree qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.Chartered engineer status is desirable for this role.Experience in wind farm design, development and operation as a developer, owner or contractor is desirable for this role.Experience in WA's Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) and/or the Pilbara's North West Interconnected System (NWIS).Strong technical capability and report writing skills.Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive and trusting relationships with clients (consulting experience is desirable).We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and those that actively seek out continuous learning.
