Herriot House – Lead Veterinarian Opportunity Herriot House Veterinary Surgery is a well-established clinic in the heart of Toowoomba. We have been servicing Toowoomba's pets for over 30 years and have an interesting diversity of case load and great local referral relationships. Our clinic has all the usual diagnostic bells and whistles with digital x-ray, dental x-ray and ultrasound, as well as in house and external pathology with a fast turnaround for results. With30-minute consultsand time blocked out for procedures, phone calls and notes and utilising the Team Based Consulting module, we offer an excellent balance for vet's time and skills. We run at 2:1 nurse/vet ratio with a talented nursing and reception team. We love to collaborate in clinic, with regular time for rounds and case study discussion prioritised and encouragement of referral when needed. You'll be leading a team of 4 vets with varying experience levels and 8 nurses and entering into a supportive environment where learning is valued, and personal and professional diversity celebrated. We are a big team, and we need a leader that can inspire and lead by example and work collaboratively with the Practice Manager with maintaining favourable culture within the team and excellent standards of care. Herriot House operates 7am-6pm Mon to Fri and 8am-4pm on Saturdays with NOafter-hours or on-call and closed on Sunday's and Public Holidays. At Herriot House, we recognise that a great workplace is about more than just hours and pay, we encourage furthering areas of special interest and offer the opportunity for ongoing education through the Veterinary Training Centre at Ormeau and generous CPD allowances.
