The Lead UX/UI Designer oversees a team of designers, collaborating within a cross-functional project team to design, develop, and deliver digital solutions that drive business success and streamline processes for greater efficiency.
This role emphasizes a user-focused approach, requiring a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methods. It also demands strong business analysis expertise, exceptional communication skills, effective stakeholder engagement and management, and the ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities with ease.
Responsibilities of the Lead UX/UI Designer: Design and implement innovative digital solutions that deliver superior customer outcomes, leveraging the Digital design system.Foster a human-centered approach to customer service by embedding best practices through effective policy frameworks, processes, and proactive systems that encourage customer-centric behaviours.Provide leadership and mentoring to teams, offering expertise and guidance to drive project success.Oversee product design across discovery, framing, iterative development, and continuous improvement phases within a Human-Centered Design (HCD) framework.Create sustainable, technically feasible solutions that align business objectives with user needs while adhering to brand standards.Maintain expertise in user research, including UI design, accessibility standards, and visual design principles.Plan, oversee, and deliver critical and complex workstreams, ensuring alignment with customer and business needs as a project manager.Collaborate with technical teams to ensure digital design assets are implemented effectively, following design principles and maintaining high quality.Demonstrate experience in UI, visual design, and UX through the successful delivery of complex digital products and content solutions.Work effectively within cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to drive collaborative outcomes.Support usability, accessibility, and user acceptance testing to deliver exceptional user experiences that comply with required guidelines.Stay informed on evolving best practices in user research, UI design, accessibility, and visual design.Operate within a multidisciplinary team, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Essential Criteria: Over a decade of experience in designing and delivering UX/UI solutions.Proficiency in advanced tools and technologies, including Adobe Photoshop, Figma, InVision, Jira, Confluence, Trello, and Google Workspace.Strong ability to analyze and interpret analytics data for data-driven decision-making and to design with a deep understanding of user personas.Proven experience working within agile and lean methodologies.Expertise in digital design, encompassing website creation, development, maintenance, and user interface design, with a foundational understanding of front-end web development.Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver UI projects of varying scales, from websites to applications.Familiarity with coding languages such as Java, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, and XML is an added advantage.Exceptional communication skills with the capability to translate business needs and technical concepts into effective design solutions.Benefits Supportive and diverse workplace cultureProfessional Team EnvironmentOpportunities for career growth and development
