Oil & Gas - Operations (Mining, Resources & Energy)
You will be ensuring the robust, safe, efficient and sustainable maritime activities on the world's largest FLNG, maintaining recognition of the Prelude FLNG Marine Terminal as a maritime centre of excellence to joint venture partners.
What's the role? Your principal accountabilities include the following:
Promote HSSE and Ensure Safe Operations:
Demonstrate commitment to HSSE in all Marine Operations.Ensure safe Ship/Terminal interface operations per industry guidelines (e.g., ISGOTT/SIGTTO).Report and record all maritime incidents and near misses in accordance with Shell Australia Investigate & Learn Procedure.Support Terminal Team Lead:
Oversee mooring and unmooring operations.Provide necessary information for offtake meetings and maintain readiness of equipment.Carry out Level 1 Causal Learning Investigations for marine events.Onboard Offtake Tanker:
Ensure safe and efficient terminal / LNGC / LPGC / Condensate tanker interface and to ensure that offtake related activities are executed safely and in compliance whilst delivering against the agreed Manual of Permitted Operations (MOPO), defined environmental parameters with due regard to simultaneous operations (SIMOPS)Support Prelude based cargo surveyors in managing cargo quantity and quality, reporting actual/potential issues.Ensure operational processes are timely and mitigate potential demurrage.Engage in Meetings and Documentation:
Attend daily meetings and engage on marine-related issues.Assist in developing and reviewing maritime operations documentation.Emergency Response and Compliance:
Support emergency response teams and provide input for maritime-related incidents.Participate in terminal compliance audits and self-assessments.Plan and execute routine maintenance of maritime equipment.Training and Unplanned Events:
Maintain compliance with training requirements.Support Terminal Coordinator in managing unplanned events and projects.What we need from you To succeed in the role, you will have the following:
Current Marine Certificate of Competency: Chief Mate or higherBOSIET or other relevant certifications is a plusSignificant experience in the Marine / Maritime discipline in an Offshore, FLNG and/or FPSO space is preferred.Advocates HSE measures, demonstrating a willingness to pursue initiatives and actions to benefit the safety culture.Promotes effective cross function working relationships with other onboard teamsAbility to hold honest conversations with colleagues, and champion an environment for open dialogue and raising of issues.Recognizes the value of diversity and is able to manage the sensitivities of a diverse workforce.Application period will run until [ September 11 ].
