You'll have an established or emerging profile and reputation for excellence in communications and engagement practice, which lends clients confidence and bolsters your business development abilities.You'll bring flair, fresh thinking, and innovation to our practice, and burnish WSP's reputation for delivering high quality, industry-leading engagement services.This role can be based in Sydney, Newcastle or Melbourne with the option to work from home up to two days per week for a healthy work-life balance.Day to day, you will:Provide overarching review and technical input to projects, lessons learned, develop tools and best practices in line with client and project needsDrive technical direction and delivery of key pursuits and projects nationallyMentor and develop the technical capability of a team of junior to principal level Engagement consultantsProvide strategic stakeholder engagement and community engagement advice to clientsContribute to leadership decisions, to assist with delivery of our strong and growing pipeline of workIdentify new opportunities, contribute to project pursuits, and review proposal writing to win workAbout YouYou'll have 15+ years' experience as a communications and engagement professional, including in leadership positions.Previous consulting experience is required.Experience in the delivery of major infrastructure projects, the public sector, or a Minister's office, will also be advantageous.You will also bring:Market eminence and positive client experience endorsement in one of our key sectors: transport infrastructure, renewable energy, transmission, Defence, or mining, ideally for State Significant DevelopmentSignificant experience in providing strategic advice to clients, and mentoring project teams to deliver high quality outputsThought leadership with a skill for applying insights to industry trends, solving current problems, and shaping strategyAn ability to engage and influence senior leaders in the not-for-profit, government, and private sectorsA thorough understanding of government processesFormal tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism, or social sustainability, certified IAP2 Practitioner.Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.Join our close-knit community of talented individuals who share your passion for making a positive impact.
