Other Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
Position Profile: We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic, and dynamic individual to the position of Lead Sustainable Development Officer. In this position, you will manage all activities of the Sustainable Development Unit. You will provide expert advice on matters relating to climate change and health mitigation and adaptation activities across the health system, emissions reduction targets, and reporting on the environmental footprint for WA Health. On behalf of the system manager, this position develops and assists with the implementation of policy on climate change in health and sustainable development.
