Lead Structural Engineer

Details of the offer

Our client is a recognised leader of design, engineering and project services.
With a strong history of successful project delivery across design, construction, commissioning and ongoing operational support, they are looking for a Lead Structural Engineer with over 10 years of experience to join their team.
As a Lead Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the design, analysis, and maintenance of mining infrastructure such as mines, mills, and processing plants.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in structural engineering principles, be familiar with industry standards and codes, and have experience managing complex engineering projects.
Requirements:

Degree in Civil Engineering
At least 10 years' experience in structural design
Willing to lead a team
Strong project management ability
Experience with steel and concrete design
Advanced level of competence with software packages such as Spacegass, StaadPro and Strand 7
Advanced knowledge of applicable Australian Standards
Capable of training and supervising graduate engineers
Ability to keep and develop positive client relationships
Ability to perform site inspections as required

Desirable:

Experience designing mining and process structures
Experience designing structures subject to fatigue and vibration
Working knowledge of structural integrity audits and practical remedial solutions
