The Role: The lead engineering role will see you responsible for the design, delivery, maintenance, and test automation of existing and new backend services in collaboration with other engineers for our ConnectID platform.
You will help to shape and improve the software development life cycle from feature ideation to deployment across backend, frontend and infrastructure.
Primary Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities: Development of new features including Microservices and APIsCollaborate with other software, test and devops engineers in the delivery and deployment of new featuresCollaborate with business stakeholders for the design of new features and extension of existing onesLead and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our development practices for delivery of high quality software in an agile environmentLead and participate in technical discovery and designUndertake POCs to showcase capability as requiredShowcase working software to the team and business stakeholdersMentoring and upskilling other engineers as neededWe'd love to hear from you if you have: Extensive experience building REST APIs and microservices in Java, ideally in Spring or MicronautExperience with test automation of non-trivial services and AWS infrastructureExperience with developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesExperience developing applications running in AWS and IaC, e.g.
