Lead Site Reliability Engineer - Migration

Details of the offer

About Us At ANZ our purpose is to shape a world where people and communities thrive.
We're making this happen by improving our customers' financial wellbeing so they can achieve incredible things – be it buying their home, building a business or saving for things big or small.
What will your day look like? As the Lead Site Reliability Engineer for Migration, you will be instrumental in defining the medium to long term strategy of SRE within your domain.
You will be a leader for the safe migration of millions of customers onto a better bank.
You will apply SRE principles to ensure that we build, monitor, and measure what is important.
You will work collaboratively with other SRE leaders and teams across ANZx to continually drive down the cost of operations, increase efficiency, and build a strong reliability culture.
You will be a role model for technical execution.
You will take ownership of complex and ambiguous problems, and you will mentor other engineers through their challenges.
You will need to be comfortable with constantly learning new tools and techniques along with running proof of concept evaluations to keep us on the leading edge.
We will turn to you for suggestions on how to improve the platforms, processes, and tools.
What will you bring? We are looking for an engineer that already possesses some of the following skills:
Expertise coding in one or more languages (Go, Java, or Python). Expertise with common Infrastructure as Code tools.
For example, Terraform. Expertise with one or more Continuous Integration / Deployment tools.
For example, GitHub Actions, CodeFresh, or Jenkins. Extensive experience working with operations and architecture groups developing scalable and supportable solutions. Expertise in cloud computing across one or more major public cloud providers.
For example, GCP, AWS, or Azure. Proficient with Kubernetes, or equivalent container orchestration tooling. Experience with common monitoring and observability tooling.
For example, Honeycomb, Splunk, Dynatrace, etc. The language and tools used are not as important as your development skills and learning aptitude.
So why join us? From the moment you join ANZ, you'll be doing meaningful work that will shape a world where people and communities thrive.
But it's not just our customers who'll feel your impact.
You'll feel it too.
Because at ANZ, you'll have the resources, opportunities, and support you need to take the next big step in your career.
We're a diverse bunch at ANZ in different roles, different locations, doing different things.
That's why we have a range of flexible working arrangements, so our people can 'make work, work for them'.
We also provide a range of benefits including access to health and wellbeing services and discounts on selected products and services from ANZ and more.
At ANZ, you'll be part of an organisation where the different backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences of our people are celebrated.
That's because we're committed to building a workplace that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.
We welcome applications from everyone and encourage you to talk to us about any adjustments you may require to our recruitment process or the role itself.
