Our Fremantle office is looking for a Lead Safety Consultant to join our Energy team with demonstrated experience in risk management and dangerous goods consulting. This role will see you leading our WA energy team, working with our clients to provide solutions to ensure the safety and risk mitigation of their assets and achieve compliance while increasing our brand awareness and local footprint.
This varied role offers the ideal candidate an opportunity to utilise their skills across safety consulting, risk workshops, business development, and people leadership. ACOR's Energy team works with large asset owners both in the resources and defence sectors to provide risk and safety solutions when dealing with dangerous goods such as aviation fuel, diesel, chemicals, and explosive ordnance. The team is also focused on future fuels, such as hydrogen, lithium batteries, and advanced biofuels, and how we can support these developing industries in Australia.
What does the role involve?Day to day leadership and mentoring of energy engineers and consultantsFacilitate project risk workshops and the development of safety solutions to workshop outcomesSite-based inspections, engineering, and report writing to internal and external projectsBusiness development and industry networking to increase brand awarenessTake a lead role on delivery of small to complex projects across various industriesWho are we looking for?Formal qualifications in safety, OHS, Risk or related fieldPrevious experience in developing safety solutions, risk management within resources or heavy industryStrong exposure to dangerous goods including chemical and petrochemical industriesExcellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to facilitate workshops and write safety reportsStrong interpersonal skills with previous people management experience highly regardedSolid commercial acumen and a desire to win workIf you enjoy working in a team in mostly in an office environment and welcome new challenges, this is a great opportunity to grow your career.
