Negotiable, dependent on experience.Are you passionate about education and committed to the values of the Catholic ethos?Do you want a role where you can make a meaningful and lasting impact on student outcomes across Catholic education in Victoria?*** This role is a maximum four-year fixed term contract aligned to government funding.***The RoleNestled within the Education and Integrity portfolio, the Education Programs and Support team is responsible for the financial administration, management, and governance of state-wide education, health and wellbeing programs, education grants and partnerships for Catholic schools.The Lead, Respectful Relationships (CRRE) will oversee and contribute to project management of the VCEA Consent and Respectful Relationships Education (CRRE) Project.This four-year project aims to develop evidence-based tools, materials and resources to enhance school leaders' and parents' understanding of respectful relationships education in the Catholic context.Responding to an identified need to further educate and empower school leaders to ensure they understand the:Evidence base underpinning RRE to support leaders of school communities to deliver RRE in an evidence-informed manner, safely, confidently and consistently in Catholic schools.Core principles underpinning Respectful Relationships Education.Importance of a comprehensive and culturally sensitive approach to RRE.Why work with VCEAAs the peak body for Catholic education in Victoria, VCEA provides employees an opportunity to help shape the future of Catholic education across the state.The Education and Integrity portfolio brings together both education compliance and education programs within a single division. It is responsible for promoting and upholding education integrity and compliance, strategic program delivery and supporting the enrichment and development of the Victorian Catholic education system.VCEA offers flexible working, a central city office location, competitive remuneration with generous benefits (including tax-advantageous salary sacrifice options), and opportunities for career development and progression.These benefits combined with our commitment to work life balance make VCEA an employer of choice.What you'll DoAs the Lead for the Respectful Relationships Education (RRE) Project, you'll oversee the development of evidence-based tools, resources, and training materials to support school leaders and parents in promoting respectful relationships in Catholic schools.This role involves building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, dioceses, educational authorities, and professional associations, ensuring that the project aligns with community and educational goals.You will lead the development of a Respectful Relationships curriculum that reflects the Catholic ethos, incorporating the latest research and best practices in respectful relationships education.Additionally, you'll prepare high-quality briefings, reports, and submissions for senior executives and the VCEA Board, providing insightful analysis that supports strategic objectives and consistent messaging. Throughout the project, you'll manage timelines, resources, and reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.What you'll bringHighly developed leadership in education and knowledge of the Catholic ethos as it relates to Respectful Relationships curriculum with demonstrated experience in developing the Respectful Relationships curriculum.Proven ability to effectively engage with key stakeholders, including all levels of government, curriculum and education authorities, diocese, schools, tertiary bodies and professional associations.Highly developed project management skills, experience leading large-scale educational, social justice, inclusion or community initiatives, responsive to legislative or policy requirements.Ability to coordinate, consult, research and prepare appropriate responses in the form of high-quality briefings, correspondence, meeting papers and submissions to government inquiries.
