Position Summary:
The role requires a highly motivated Quality Engineer to thrive in a fast-paced complex retail system to validate the software within the NCR R10 interface systems. Ideal candidates possess extensive experience in the retail domain with NCR Retalix R10 Point of Sale, NCR Fast Lane Self-Checkout, and NCR Loyalty Management applications. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of analysing and evaluating integration systems in response to new architectural changes and building the necessary test automation tools using the latest automation techniques.
Mandatory Skills:
The proposed role requires 7+ years of experience and deep understanding of retail systems and NCR R10 applications knowledge to test peripherals such as Point of Sale, Self-Check-out with Fast Lane application, Price Verifiers and Touch Computer systems.
Building robust automated test frameworks for various in-store devices and applications. Resolving network connectivity issues and software deployment problems across multiple POS systems.
Conducting post-deployment checks to ensure the retail environment is ready for operation.
5+ years of experience with NCR R10 POS applications.
Strong knowledge of Australian retail regulations.
4+ years of experience with SAP EUC, SAP PMR, and web methods.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with automated testing frameworks in TOSCA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct extensive validations of POS applications, including integration with upstream and downstream systems such as SAP and loyalty programs.
Analyse complex systems to identify solutions, dependencies, and potential issues in a multi-interfaced environment.
Leverage your deep understanding of the Australian retail industry (B2C and B2B) and NCR R10 POS applications to ensure the quality of our solutions.
Demonstrate expertise in NCR R10 applications, including end-to-end system architecture and associated middleware.
Ensure compliance with Australian and New Zealand government regulations related to retail shelf and product labelling.
Evaluate technical constraints within existing systems and their associated procedures to determine optimal tools for automating supported applications.
Generate comprehensive reports outlining key findings and recommendations for the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Develop scripts for RESTful APIs to enable seamless communication and data exchange between applications.
Engineer complex IT configurations within simulated production environments to rigorously test and validate product functionality.
Conduct thorough impact analyses to identify affected areas and formulate strategies to validate changes across interconnected systems during architectural modifications.
Apply established validation procedures, guidelines, and quality standards to debug, validate, and analyse code for errors, ensuring applications function as intended.
Utilize your experience with SAP EUC, SAP PMR, and web methods validations.
Automation Script Development for new changes using automation tools like Selenium, Tosca. Good to have knowledge on Maven, Cucumber, Jenkins.
Script development for REST, SOAP APIs.
