About the JTYouGotThis Program: JTYouGotThis Program is an early intervention program for at-risk youth.
The program develops foundational skills for change, with a primary focus on self-efficacy (confidence, courage, and self-belief) to reduce re-offending behaviour through supported and increased family cultural, community and prosocial connection.
About the role: The Johnathan Thurston Academy are seeking a dynamic, delivery and outcome focused Lead Program Facilitator to lead the delivery of the JTYouGotThis Program.
As Lead Program Facilitator, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the delivery of the JTYouGotThis Program whilst being supported by Program Support Officers.
The role requires a deep understanding of engagement strategies specific to working with at-risk young people and complex behaviours.
The role also requires establishing and maintaining working relationships with key community stakeholders involved in the youth sector.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the delivery of the JTYouGotThis Program.
Ensure familiarity with program content and therapeutic approaches.
Maintain strong working relationships with appropriate departmental staff and community stakeholders to ensure input into planning, implementation, and review of program deliveries.
Manage behaviour problems without demeaning youth while maintaining the program agenda for the group.
Model pro-social behaviour, attitudes, and values.
Tailor program content to suit the individual needs of the participants.
Build strong relationships with participants, their families, and cultural support networks.
Use initiative to solve any issue that could impede on the success of the program.
Work collaboratively as part of a team, including a range of internal and external stakeholders, to achieve positive outcomes for at risk young people and their families.
Undertake record keeping, data and information management tasks on organisational platforms and systems to ensure accountability.
Mandatory Requirements: Drivers' license: it is a mandatory requirement for the occupant of this position to hold a driver's license.
Staff are required to drive company vehicles as a part of their day-to-day work.
Blue card: this role provides support services to children and young people and therefore will require a valid Blue Card with the organisation.
