Achieving this is the obsession of the Digital Direction: a team dedicated to defining and implementing the future of the Accor Product Experience.Attached to the Product Design team and under the responsibility of the Head of Design (HOD), you will oversee the product designers' team within the e-commerce and convert scope while ensuring product vision and internal teams' acculturation to design approaches.Your mission:Design leadership within your scope: Provide clear direction to your team, in line with the vision, business objectives, and user needs, to guide the team in creating coherent and engaging user experiences.Team leadership: Manage and animate the team of 3 designers.
This includes assisting with roadmap management, mentoring team members, promoting a collaborative work environment, and stimulating innovation within the team.Interfunctional collaboration: Work closely with Design and Product teams to align product vision, co-organize delivery cycles, and achieve team goals.
Facilitate communication with departments such as Product, Tech, and Marketing to ensure a common understanding of Design goals and maintain excellence in user experience.Design process management: Oversee and improve the Design process, from Discovery to Delivery.
Continue to enhance our processes and define best Design practices with other Leads and the HOD;Evolution of Design culture: Work on Design strategy with the HoD, Lead product designers, and Design Ops.
Promote the Design culture within Accor, foster innovation and creativity within your scope.Your responsibilities:1.
Improve the integration of Design in the Product approachCo-build OKRs and roadmaps with Product teams;Ensure Product designers understand and commit to the visions and objectives of their respective products;Collaborate with Product and Tech leads to break down silos;Identify cross-functional dependencies and regularly exchange with other areas;Assist Product designers in defining and tracking relevant KPIs.2.
Ensure delivery quality, roadmap, and team ritualsEnsure that each feature your team works on is delivered on time with the highest possible quality;Facilitate backlog review and Design critique sessions, ensure proper integration of the Design System, and reflect user needs in solutions;Establish effective processes, methodologies, and templates to optimize the design team's workflow and ensure timely delivery;Ensure proper integration of resources such as User researchers or Content designers.Participate part-time (30%) in the discovery and delivery of certain topics to raise awareness of best practices within the team.3.
Advance and grow the team towards excellenceMentor team members and create a conducive environment for learning and skills development;Organize retrospective sessions and contribute to the continuous improvement of team practices;Implement personalized career tracking for each member and support them in their development and goals;Promote Design culture within and outside of Accor: write blog articles, organize and speak at conferences.4.
Collaborate with all Lead Product Designers and the Digital Factory team to grow AccorAssist in the adoption of the Design System and other Design standards within your scope;Sync up with other Lead Product Designers to share best practices and resolve cross-team issues;Co-create and continuously improve interactions and processes with Design Ops teams;Develop strong relationships with various stakeholders and teams;Participate in cross-team rituals facilitation.QualificationsAnd you?Graduate of a top Engineering or Generalist Business School, with a focus on computer science or a specialized Master's degree in Design.Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with stakeholders from different departments.Strong written and verbal communication skills to present analysis results in a clear and concise manner.Master user experience design both strategically and operationally and be able to explain it to both expert and novice interlocutors.Master the methodology and tools related to Product Design.Minimum successful experience of 4 years in a similar position combining Product Designer expertise and management.Experience in B2C Consumer and e-commerce is a plus.You are rigorous and organized, able to lead and prioritize team work.Empathy, active listening, and pedagogy are keywords for you.At least one initial experience as Lead Product Designer in a product organization.Fluent in English (all presentations conducted in English).Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.Ability to simplify complex subjects.Focused on Product Design.Additional InformationAccor dares to impact:- the worldWe are committed to the world around us, with a strong employer culture focused on the development of our 300,000 talents.On the tech side, we are committed to reducing the impact of digital technology across all our projects.- your career:We enable all our employees to manage their work-life balance and offer them the means to shape their work environment according to their preferences.Training and career paths are defined both individually and collectively, allowing us to grow together on a daily basis.We value the richness of diverse nationalities represented, from various backgrounds, encompassing all the stories that make us who we are.
