Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Lead Process Engineer to join our team in our Perth office.About the roleLead the study or project team to ensure Process Engineering design and documentation is consistent with study and project scope and objectives.Provide peer review of agreed process deliverables.Collaborate with other members of the Ausenco team to ensure overall study/project success.Provide process engineering and mineral processing expertise all the way through engineering phases from conceptual design, front-end engineering, and detailed design and similarly develop connections in the wider Ausenco to leverage capabilities.Contribute strongly to the cost-efficient design of plants by seeking to apply innovative solutions and technological developments that bring greater value to clients and benchmark those designs and layouts with best practices.Ensure that technical solutions that are proposed and delivered to clients are fit for purpose and deliver the best possible outcome for the project.Work within study and project teams to meet scope requirements and ensure time and budget objectives are achieved. Develop and assist in the development of Process Design Criteria (PDC), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), control philosophies and tables, process equipment sizing, heat and mass balances and models, trade-off studies, operating cost estimates, high-level financial models, etc.Supervise and mentor other Process Engineers and Graduates within the team.About youDegree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering.At least 10+ years of solid experience in the mineral processing industry, with time spent at Senior and/or Lead level working in other engineering companies or working on EPCM projects or studies at various levels on the owner's side.Operational experience at mines, mineral processing, or metallurgical facilities, including managing operational performance and plant improvement projects.Experienced in mill, concentrator, and/or metallurgical plant design – particularly for base and precious metals.Knowledge of engineering workflow processes and working knowledge of industry process-related software, codes, and standards.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify underlying principles or facts associated with information or data to draw conclusions.Prior experience writing proposals – An advantage.Exposure to plant commissioning and/or production ramp-up – An advantage.Demonstrated ability for time management and to work on multiple projects simultaneously.Why Ausenco?We support individual growth and aim to allow you to work in a way that plays to your strengths.
