We are looking for a Lead Planner to join the team in our Osborne Park Head Office. The successful candidate will play a key part in planning a major construction package. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing planning expertise through timely development, implementation, and reporting of planning strategies with a strong focus on critical path, management of change, and forecasting to contribute towards proactively influencing a successful and timely completion of the project.
Your Key Responsibilities Comply with all Primero procedures, standards, and processes, while also identifying areas for improvement.Development of a detailed execution schedule(s) based on the scope of works.Development of comprehensive basis of schedule documents outlining schedule assumptions, construction sequencing, calendars, weather, resources, equipment, and critical path information.Coordinate and maintain design and constructability reviews, and integration between disciplines and contractors in the design office and onsite.Drive planning meetings, understanding the interface and deliverables of package owners in the development process to validate the integrity of the plan, understand the key risks and opportunities.Identify, record, analyse, monitor, and report the impact of any deviations and or changes with focus on key drivers of deviations and early trends.Meet all role specific HSE responsibilities, accountabilities and KPIs as per the Primero HSE Management procedures and plans.What You Can Do University degree preferred (Engineering or similar discipline), but not essential.7-10 Years Experience in project planning essential, with 2+ years in a senior role.Experience with EPC Projects advantageous.Demonstrated ability to lead/supervise/mentor.Experience in Construction & Engineering, particularly in the Resources & Mining Industries.Demonstrated understanding of Critical Path analysis and Extension of Time claims.Strong statistical and analytical reporting skills.Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerBI.What We Can Do For You: Competitive CompensationFlexible Working ArrangementsPaid Parental LeaveEmployee Referral RewardsOnsite GymIf you're looking for a career where you experience more 'Can Do', then we're the team for you.
