As we continue through an exciting period of growth, and due to the Company's involvement in several new projects and studies, Lycopodium is seeking an experienced Lead Planner to join the project services team in our Brisbane and/or Perth office.
The Lead Planner will be a critical role and provides essential support to our study and/or project teams. This position will be responsible for development of schedules as well as the accurate, effective, and timely control of Project schedules to produce deliverables in line with Client's, Company's and Project's standards.
The tasks you'll perform Ensure overall schedules and plans are achieved to a consistently high standard. Respond immediately to change to ensure projects are completed on time in accordance with the contractual scope of work and services. Support the Project team to prepare the Project Schedules and provide up-to-date data to assist with the management of project activities to the highest quality and in line with Company, Client and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain the various project planning specific procedures, work practices, plans, systems and protocols to enable efficient work whilst maintaining a consistently high standard of work. Analyse scope changes and schedule trends and recommend actions or alternate execution options to improve schedule or mitigate delays. Confirm all implementation approaches and controls are reasonable in their establishment and are met throughout the project. Communicate immediately with the client and Project Manager on matters that affect the project goals. The expertise you'll bring Minimum 10+ years for Lead/Senior, planning experience in the design, procurement, and construction phase of projects. Preferably an engineering qualification, trade background or equal (extended experience in the engineering and/or construction fields). Previous experience in EPC and EPCM environments and have experience working with all project stakeholders from: Client EPCM and other Consultants. Manufacturing and Construction subcontractors. In depth knowledge of, and competence in the use of Primavera. Ability to read and interpret all typical design deliverables such as flow sheets, P&ID's drawings, equipment lists, and other data required to prepare and maintain a Project Schedule. Ability to prepare accurate, detailed schedules and reports to meet strict project deadlines. Ability to establish the schedule including resourcing, logic sequence and duration of each phase of the project including project development, planning approvals, land acquisition, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, transport, construction and commissioning. Ability to forecast and assess trends for accurate schedule maintenance and to provide information that assists with project management goals. Ability to prepare detailed commissioning, shutdown and tie-in planning. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision with consistently high degree of accuracy and high quality of deliverables. Demonstrate a high standard of verbal and written communication. Strong interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge of Project Planning and Management. Aptitude in building and sustaining positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.
