Fluor Perth are seeking a Principal (Lead) planner to lead a team of planners and ensure Fluor's planning expertise is relayed on Primavera P6 for our Clients projects. This lead role requires advanced planning and schedule prowess from a prolonged planning career that incorporates knowledge across types of industries (Mining, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas etc) and major Client bases, both nationally and locally.
The purpose of this position is to plan and execute the Project Controls requirements of the project, leading the Planning discipline but supporting Cost and project Delivery functions.
This role is responsible for providing technical and administrative direction, coordination, evaluation, training, and coaching to a team of Project Controls specialists in the Planning Discipline. This position serves as Principal / Lead on medium and large-sized projects. Acting as a key resource on a project team, the role will require collaboration at all levels, including: client representatives, Fluor management and functional/project delivery leads.
Your main role duties would be:
Develop and implement a project controls plan as part of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) for the project execution.Plan and organize the setup of project baseline in Fluor's project controls system, and implement a plan to track against the baseline on a regular basis.Develop schedule baselines aligned with cost.Analyze variances in schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management.Supervise the implementation of Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract.Supervise and manage the change management process with respect to the project schedule.Provide meaningful, accurate data that supports project status and forecast to go.May fill the role of office Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a specific task or range of tasks.Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines.Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff.Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job.May need to travel to attend to business related matters.About You:
