Lead teams in the investigation, design and delivery of specific capital works projects Work in a dynamic and service focused team Leaseback Vehicle About the role The role of Lead Operations Engineer is to manage the day-to-day work and functioning of the Senior Operations Engineers, Operations Engineers and Technical Officers, and to collaborate with other staff to complete the programs and projects of the Systems Operations Section.
This position will see you be responsible for a full range of water and sewer operations functions, through providing strategic, operational advice combined with the day to day response, control and investigation of operational issues.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have: A Degree qualification in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
A current Class C Drivers Licence.
Extensive experience in water and sewer network operations, including demonstrated experience using SCADA to control water and sewer networks or similar experience.
Success in delivering water and/or sewer network operational projects or programs.

Other important information The salary range for this position ranges between $99.7k - $119.6k plus up to $15k market loading for the right candidate, plus 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance (in accordance with the Award), plus 11.5% superannuation.
This is a Permanent full-time role.
This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days work from home and 3 days on site.
This role is located at the Nexus Building, North Wyong.
Successful candidates will be required to have vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus.
A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Council's Vehicle Policy.
In the meantime, either an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week ($10,780.12 per annum) is temporarily applied for this position due to ongoing issues with supply for new vehicles.
Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
