As they continue their growth journey, they are seeking a highly skilled Lead Java Engineer to join their dynamic team and drive the next phase of their platform's evolution.
Role Overview: As a Lead Java Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing their cloud-based platform, which is based on a monolithic architecture.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
This role requires a hands-on leader who is passionate about driving technical excellence, mentoring team members, and delivering scalable, reliable, and performant services.
Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and deployment of their Java-based monolithic application, ensuring best practices in software engineering are followed.
Architecture & Design: Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to design scalable and resilient solutions, leveraging cloud-native technologies and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Mentorship: Guide, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, code quality, and collaboration.
Hands-On Development: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, conduct code reviews, and maintain high code quality standards.
Cloud Integration: Work with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) to build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure-as-code, ensuring system reliability and scalability.
Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, implement monitoring and logging solutions, and ensure high availability of services.
Collaboration: Work closely with product management to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions, while ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
Requirements: 7+ years of experience in Java development, with at least 2+ years in a lead or senior role.
Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework.
Experience with building and managing RESTful APIs within a monolithic application architecture.
Proficiency with relational and No SQL databases (e.g., Postgre SQL, Mongo DB).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including hands-on experience with services like Lambda, ECS, or Kubernetes.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Proven track record of leading engineering teams, promoting a positive team culture, and delivering complex software projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues in a high-pressure environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
