This role is a two-year fixed-term position on a 9-day fortnight roster at our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.
This means we are looking for candidates who live locally in these areas, so they are able to get to the refinery and engage with our local stakeholders.
As the Project Lead - Inclusion & Diversity, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the Inclusion & Diversity Plan for Worsley Alumina.
The key aim of the role is to foster opportunities and facilitate employment at Worsley for targeted areas of under-represented members of our community that enables Worsley's vision of being the world's leading alumina producer.
This role will assist in the evolution of the Inclusion & Diversity strategy and roadmap.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
Contribute to successfully securing the future of Worsley by driving the delivery of the actions in the Inclusion & Diversity Roadmap.
Develop targeted strategies to deliver the I&D Roadmap for Worsley with a focus on short and long-term horizons for each Pillar - Lead the Change, Attract Diverse Talent, Design our Future and Retain our Talent.
Attract diverse talent with a focus on local community.
Develop strategies to support retention of our diverse workforce.
Engage with our local communities to encourage participants for the future workforce.
Implement processes, tools, rhythms and routines to track progress and manage the program of work and strategic effectiveness.
Benchmark, monitor and engage other I&D groups within South32, within the resources sector and broader afield to compare and contrast our own progress and strategy.
ABOUT YOU
You ideally will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
An understanding of ATSI cultural practices.
Equal opportunities legislation and best practices.
Community engagement exposure highly regarded.
Organisational change management practices.
Influencing skills at all levels.
Qualifications for this position are:
Relevant tertiary education is preferred, but not essential.
