Horticulturist . The successful applicant will join our course maintenance team, dedicated to enhancing our grounds and delivering outstanding playing facilities.
About Us:
Indooroopilly Golf Club (IGC) is one of Australia's most respected private golf clubs, situated on a 131-hectare site just 10 kilometres from Brisbane's CBD. The 36-hole complex offers a unique blend of four distinct nines, alongside comprehensive training and practice facilities. Established in 1926, IGC is home to around 2,300 members and is poised for exciting growth as we work to solidify our place as an industry leader.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the horticulture department's programming, budgeting, and maintenance.
Hold a Chemical Application license and conduct scheduled spraying.
Address irrigation issues as required.
Maintain landscape conditions to IGC's long-term standards.
Collaborate with the course leadership team to develop strategies for operational improvements, resource allocation, and team development.
Qualifications:
Proven industry experience with diverse and sustainable horticulture practices.
Strong interpersonal, team leadership, and employee engagement skills.
5+ years' experience as a horticulturist in a managerial role is advantageous.
Certificate III in Horticulture (minimum).
Valid driver's license and full work rights in Australia.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to work well with diverse individuals.
Organized, detail-oriented, with strong planning and multitasking abilities.
Prior urban landscape experience is a plus.
