Lead High Voltage Protection Engineer PHE HV and Switchboards is expanding, and we're seeking an experienced and driven Lead High Voltage Protection Engineer to join our team in Brisbane or option of relocation.

Exciting Projects – Work on industry-defining HV protection systems, from transformers to relays and switchgear.Career Growth – Advance your skills and career in a company committed to professional development.Balanced Work Life – FIFO site-based work with local office time at on of our many offices.Supportive Culture – Join a collaborative, safety-conscious team with a focus on innovation.Your Role: Lead testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting for HV protection systems, including relays, transformers, and switchgear.Design and implement relay settings, logic, and schemes for systems (e.g., ABB, GE Multilin, Schneider, Siemens).Perform advanced testing, including secondary injection, CT/VT testing, and fault-finding.Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery.Mentor and train engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical growth.Engage with clients, delivering solutions and clear, concise technical reports.Maintain strict adherence to HV safety standards and Australian regulations (AS/NZS, IEC, IEEE).What You'll Bring: 7+ years in HV protection testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.Proficiency in tools like Omicron CMC356, PCM600, and relay software.Proven ability to lead teams and deliver under pressure.Familiarity with IEC61850 protocols and GOOSE messaging is an advantage.Credentials Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.Trade Certification / AQF Cert Level 3 Electro Tech (highly regarded)Current CPR/LVR certification and unrestricted C Class Driver's License.About PHE: With over 50 years of industry experience, PHE High Voltage specialises in delivering cutting-edge electrical and instrumentation solutions for complex projects across Australia.
