What's so exciting about this role?

As a Lead Generation Specialist, your role plays an integral part in driving revenue and growth for the business development team. You will follow up on both inbound and self-generated outbound leads, working in partnership with key sales channels across the business to contribute towards sales targets, business growth and new sales initiatives. This role will suit someone who is not afraid to be pro-active and pick up the phone! Someone that loves engaging and talking to people. You are excited to develop and enhance your natural sales ability and communication style to progress your career within a boutique and leading-edge financial services organisation. This role requires you to be self-driven, quick thinking and have strong time management skills to ensure leads are followed up and converted in a timely manner. Your approach to business development is professional and execution focused, with the ability to perform under pressure and strike a balance between customer needs and our business imperatives.

What Does An Average Day Look Like?

No day is average at Humm but here's an idea of what you can expect to do in this role:

Identify and generate leads for the acquisition of new retailers.Manage leads, both inbound and outbound, through the sales process (via CRM).Leverage industry research, existing networks, cold/warm calling, attending meetings, conducting presentations, and attending PD Days and Conferences.Meet with and obtain information for the purpose of prospecting and negotiating new deals.Prepare customer proposals and negotiate key commercial terms with proposed retailers.Work with Account Managers and Seller Success Team to ensure that deals are processed and integrated efficiently. We are also looking for someone who brings:
Proven success in a lead generation/new business development/internal sales rolePrevious success in phone-based sales ideally within a retail (financial services) environmentExperience dealing with financial products such as BNPL and long-term interest free products would be advantageousStrong time and lead management skillsExperience following a Sales Process in a CRM preferred (Dynamics)Strong relationship builder; account management skills a bonusAmazing customer service ethos and great customer engagementExcellent communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with functional areas, marketing resources and influence key areas within hummgroup to achieve the best outcomes Working at hummgroup
