Lead a small team of front-end developersInitial 6 month contract with view to extendHybrid work - 2 days per week from home$1,000-$1,200/dayASAP startFantastic opportunity for an experienced Front-End Developer to take the lead, mentor and grow a small team of front-end developers and work on a large government project.
It is an initial 6 month contract with high chances of extension as the program of work is quite large. The work will follow a hybrid model with 3 days onsite (Parramatta) and 2 days working from home.
As a Lead Front-End Developer, you'll bring your technical expertise and contribute to digital product definition, design, development, implementation, and delivery.
ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a small team of frontend developers.Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and all information needed to support a solid solution design.Prototype and demonstrate user components and perform technical proofs of concept as required.Ensure sufficient development resources are available to meet projected demands from the business.Monitor and report on the progress of development projects, ensuring alignment with agreed architectures, standards, methods, and secure software development practices.Manage deliverables independently against rapidly shifting priorities to respond to internal and external demands.Required skills6+ years of experience working as a front-end developer in medium to large environments.Strong technical skills across ReactJS, Typescript, HTML and CSS.Experience working with Atlassian tool set including JIRA, Confluence and BitBucket.Solid understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.Skills in rapid prototyping and delivering user-centric solutions.Knowledge of libraries such as react-dom, react-query, react-router, and Storybook.Excellent communication skills to be able to collaborate efficiently with different teams.Solid leadership skills with previous experience leading or mentoring small teams of developers.Located in Sydney and able to attend the office 3 days per week in Parramatta.Full working rights in Australia.Should you be interested in this opportunity, please apply now.
