Tennis Australia is embarking on a phase of Digital Transformation, and as a result, an opportunity has emerged for a Lead Experience Designer to join the Digital Team.
The Digital Transformation Program will establish new digital experiences, foundational capabilities and strategic enablers that will benefit the entire organisation and all our customers for many years to come.
Unified Digital Experience will cover Web and Mobile Digital Presence for Tennis Australia.
This digital experience will enhance how our customers find courts, coaches and tournaments, participate in Leagues and Tournaments, manage their rating and ranking, and administrators and deliverers who organise and deliver Tennis.
About the role As a Lead Experience Designer, you will be instrumental in cultivating the Experience Design practice within the Digital Team and the Digital Transformation Program.
You will play a key role in defining and implementing design initiatives that create a seamless experience on tennis.com.au, aligning with the strategic goals of the Digital Transformation Program and the Digital Team.
By immersing yourself in the diverse needs of Tennis Australia's customers and its multiple brands, you will drive meaningful improvements that enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
In this role, you will:
Create beautifully crafted and intuitive user experiences and user interfaces that effectively tackle brand, business, digital, organisation and technological challenges.Understand the needs of our customers and translate those needs into clear, actionable, and creative strategies, user journeys, wireframes and high-fidelity solutions.Powerfully and simply communicate principles and methods in experience and visual design disciplines and have a strong command of related disciplines, including research and strategy.Craft, maintain and promote the Tennis Australia Digital Design System to support the delivery of consistent user experiences across digital channels including websites and apps.Document the digital experience guidelines across multiple internal channels to ensure they are consistently used and applied across various digital touchpoints.Collaborate closely with other design functions, including CX, Creative Studio, Commercial Solutions and marketing teams.Work closely with content experience managers to ensure the holistic experience effectively meets the unique needs of Tennis Australia's broad range of customers.Raise the profile of customer-centric thinking in the culture within the Digital Team, Digital Transformation Program and within the organisation.Drive ideation, creativity, and innovation and insightful storytelling.Experiment with new technology and concepts to help envision future state experiences.Conduct research and testing to validate designs and experiences so they effectively deliver user, experience business outcomes.About you To succeed in this role, you must quickly navigate a complex environment with various stakeholders and technical aspects while building strong partnerships and promoting collaboration.
Your focus will be on enhancing customer-centricity, human-centred design (HCD), creative design, and UX/UI design.
You will analyse and understand customer needs to create exceptional and innovative digital experiences for Tennis Australia's audiences.
What you will bring to the role: Proven experience in product design, experience design, UX design or UI design.Strong understanding of XD, Service Design, HCD, UX, UI, graphic and communication design.Strong user research and user testing methodology.Strong written and visual storytelling.Advanced competency with design programs and tooling, including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.Competent with research and synthesis tools such as Miro, Dovetail and Optimal Workshop.You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.What's in it for you?
