As our Lead Experience Designer, you will play a central role in a startup set to disrupt an industry predicted to skyrocket to $4.3 trillion by 2027. Be the voice of our users. Define the user experience of a product that will redefine an entire industry. Responsibilities Work as extension of the Innovation team working closely with the Partners and Exo Directors to incubate ideas, accelerate and scale deliveries Champion the user experience in our product, setting the strategic direction of our UX, research, and design initiatives Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business partners to create compelling, user-centered prototypes Conduct in-depth user research to gain a deep understanding of our users, their needs, and pain points Leverage these insights to design innovative solutions that delight users across farms, manufacturing, and end consumers Drive early validation of design ideas to mitigate risks, using a range of lean UX methods and design sprints Facilitate ideation workshops, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration Communicate design strategies and decisions effectively to a wide range of stakeholders, advocating for the user at every step Requirements Proven experience as a UX Designer, ideally in a leadership role, with a strong portfolio of design projects Exceptional skills in user research, information architecture, usability testing, and interaction design Extensive experience in creating and validating prototypes Proficiency in using design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Suite. Strong understanding of lean UX methodologies and experience in design sprints Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex design concepts clearly to a variety of stakeholders Desired Attributes Experience with interaction design, with motion design skills being a definite bonus Experience in a startup environment, with the ability to adapt and thrive amidst change and growth A deep passion for our mission and a desire to make a substantial impact in the fresh produce manufacturing industry We offer flexible work arrangements with a hybrid model split between remote work and collaboration in our Adelaide office.
