This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced civil/structural engineer to lead a team dedicated to the successful delivery of engineering designs for capital works programs to benefit current and future generations in South Australia.

Your new role:
Lead, build and empower a high performing team of multidisciplinary engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages open communication and knowledge sharing. Foster a strong safety culture by driving awareness of Safety in Design (SiD) processes. Ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards. Drive an awareness of sustainable design practices within the team. Oversee the design activities of their respective engineering portfolios, communicate with stakeholders and act as an escalation point for their respective team to ensure timely delivery of high quality designs. Manage team workload and collaborate with other Lead Engineers to effectively manage workloads and create a strong team environment. Collaborate with Engineering Delivery Team, Capital Delivery Team and Infrastructure Planning and Strategy Team to enhance program strategy and delivery ensuring efficient and effective project outcomes. Work closely with business partners and stakeholders to meet customer needs and build strong relationships across the organisation. Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in engineering delivery processes. Champion a culture of service excellence within the team. To be successful you will need the following skills and qualifications:
Professional Engineering qualification in civil, structural discipline engineering or relevant. Demonstrated experience in Design Management, Design Review and review of infrastructure standards. Extensive experience in leadership with a proven ability to build and lead high performing teams. Demonstrated experience in sustainable engineering practices and familiarity with industry standards and guidelines. Demonstrated experience in applying value engineering practices and principles. Demonstrated experience in Project Management and Design Management is desirable. Benefits you will get in return:
