About the job We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Engineer Reticulation to join our Engineering business unit on a 6-month max term contract.
As the Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for driving engineering activities associated with major land development works, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and innovative solutions that meet scope, time, and quality requirements.
You will lead, empower, and develop a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative environment focused on achieving business goals while supporting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
In addition, your responsibilities will include: Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensures we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.Lead and inspire a team of 6 engineers by fostering a high-performance culture that encourages innovation, knowledge-sharing, and personal growth.Provide technical oversight on major land development projects, ensuring design audits, system improvements, and technical support are delivered in line with best practices.Drive the integration of sustainability into the design process by coordinating with Asset Management, Program / Project Management, WHS, Operations, Design, and Construction teams to achieve sustainable outcomes.Engage with industry, business partners and technical specialists to deliver optimal outcomes to support delivering the South Australian Housing Roadmap.Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders across multi-disciplinary teams.
Promote consistency in work processes, encourage cross-team technical support, and ensure successful outcomes.Support business objectives by effectively managing risk, cost, time, and quality metrics.Your success in this role will come from: Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering.A proactive attitude, with the ability to take ownership, drive change.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships across different teams and stakeholders.Strategic mindset with the ability to deliver results in a complex, fast-paced environment.Proficiency in engineering design processes, audits, and system improvements.In-depth technical expertise in reticulation engineering, land development, or related fields.Strong knowledge of sustainability principles and experience in implementing sustainable design processes.Previous leadership experience is desirable, but not essential.Benefits you will get in return: Flexibility to work from home 2 days a weekSatisfaction of making a significant contribution to the growth and development of South AustraliaMentorship and opportunities to build up the technical knowledge in engineering to shape the future of the organisationEmployee Assistance Programs (EAP)Option to extend your holidays by Purchasing LeavePlease note this is a 6-month max term contract, with the potential to be extended.
