What will you do? This is an exciting opportunity for a Flooding & Hydrology engineer to join our NSW Surface Water Team in Sydney/Newcastle. This will be a start of exploring more growth with a world-class company and various types and scales of projects within but not limited to NSW and ACT.

The role Due to recent project wins in the Water Resources, Transport and Advisory Markets we are growing our team. In this position, you will play an integral part in an ANZ team of highly skilled flooding specialist that 'bring ideas to life' for our clients.
In this role, you will conduct hydrological and hydraulic investigations and design for a wide range of projects through collaboration with other hydrology and hydraulic teams, drainage teams, Dams teams and water resources advisory teams.
What we are looking for: Bachelor or Masters' level degree in civil or environmental engineering and tertiary qualificationHave 10 + years of experience in a similar positionProficiency in TUFLOW, RORB, WBNM, and XP-RAFTS requiredProficiency in GIS software such as QGIS, ArcGIS or MapInfoFamiliarity with Dam's related hydrology & breach assessment will be highly regardedFamiliarity with Dam's condition and consequence category assessments and yield studies will be highly regardedAbility to analyse, interpret and communicate information and modelling resultsStrong understanding of Australian Rainfall and Runoff (ARR) 2019Good verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively at both an internal and external client-facing levelAbility to lead junior staff and provide mentorshipDemonstrated experience managing projects to quality, time and budgetHave an interest in technological advances and applying innovationWe value the difference each team member brings and we look for people who have had a broad range of experiences and a growth and learning mindset.
