As a Lead Engineer you have direct accountability of delivering the technical solutions that meet the transformational goals of the customer.
A hands-on role working with both the internal and customer engineer teams.
Mixes independent contribution with leading detailed design work, supporting engineering team or engaging with client data team.
Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain scalable data solutions and pipelines for acquisition, preparation, and monitoring of data. Transform and orchestrate data into analysis-ready structures while implementing architectural recommendations. Collaborate with business teams to improve data consumption outputs and BI tools. Engage with clients to understand data requirements and provide consulting support. Develop data models, execute queries on stored data, and resolve complex issues using distributed compute systems. Write unit/integration tests, document data standards, and set best practices for maintainable and performant code. Provide technical leadership through code reviews, training, and guidance, helping junior engineers grow in their roles. Manage release and deployment processes, monitor system performance, and ensure production-quality outputs. Solve technical challenges using domain expertise and deliver high-quality features with minimal supervision. Required skills and experience 7+ years working on AWS, Snowflake, Azure/Fabric, Databricks platforms with exposure to team leadership. Expertise in designing and developing distributed data pipelines using big data technologies. Good understanding of Lambda Architecture. Application of CI/CD orchestration i.e Git; Code Commit; CodePipeline, Jenkins, Buildkite. Schema design, dimensional data modelling i.e.
Data Vault 2.0, Star Schema. Documentation and collaboration i.e.
Jira, Confluence, Miro. Essential Coding Languages - Python, Java, SQL. Certifications (at least one of the following) Databricks Data Engineer Associate. Databricks Data Engineer Professional.
