The Lead Engineer is responsible for the technical solution delivery of the Core Banking integration and routing capabilities.
This includes management & leadership for development teams, orchestrating the solution design and development of complex changes, as well as assisting with executional certainty and adherence to ING delivery methodologies and framework.
This role requires experience in operating in a complex environment and profound knowledge of IT and tooling solutions, within the Core Banking middleware domain.
It combines a client (both internal and external) focused attitude with analytical skills and result-oriented technical solutioning and strategic thinking.
What you'll do … Facilitate technical design and delivery.Support squads to define and estimate user stories and design technical solutions – executed by feature engineering team.Provide Tribe level input into asset capacity management, LCM, and Problem management.Drive the capability uplift within the Core Banking tribe.Lead and coordinate delivery of program outcomes by managing program interdependencies, constraints, and resource allocations of Core Banking stream.Encourage and participate in knowledge sharing sessions relevant to scope.What we're looking for… Proven experience in providing input into IT strategy and follow through that demonstrates effective and successful execution within area of expertise.Expertise in technology, including J2EE, .NET, Polymer with familiarity with agile and DevOps tooling.Minimum 10 years plus experience in working in a substantial technology department.Experience in core banking and middleware technical knowledge, preferably from banking or financial industry.Experience with working with Agile and DevOps delivery.Proven experience in developing tech and engineering capability and effectiveness in a team.What's in it for you?
