An exciting Lead Electrical Engineer role has become available due to the growth within Ventia's Engineering Services. If you hold extensive experience, primarily in HV/LV System Design, we would love to explore the opportunity of you becoming part of our dynamic team of electrical and instrument engineers, as well as designers based in Sydney.

Hold an Engineers Australia recognised tertiary electrical engineering qualification.15-20 years of experience with a minimum of 10 years in High & Low Voltage (HV & LV) Design.Excellent communication skills, adept at engaging with diverse stakeholders and working collaboratively within a team environment.Strong leadership abilities with a passion for mentoring junior engineers and driving engineering project success.Experienced in two or more sectors, including Industrial, Water, Renewables, Power Utilities, Substations, Solar, Defence and Hydrogen.Expertise in the design of Industrial Electrical Substations, with a strong knowledge of HV & LV electrical system design, including earthing, protection, power system studies using software and cable sizing.Proven track record in electrical consulting and design, with the ability to lead projects, including overseeing the development and preparation of engineering documents, specifications, and drawings to meet project deadlines and budgets.Ability to produce engineering calculations to support design documentation and specify/select electrical equipment as well as assist in procurement as required.Proficient in applying relevant Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS2067, AS/NZS 3008, AS1768, etc.) and statutory regulations in design practices.Current RPEQ/CPEng certification, or the eligibility and willingness to obtain these.About Ventia Engineering Services (VES) We are a specialist multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with a passion for delivering outstanding engineering design with over 50 years of local experience.
