There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do:Contributing to and managing a team of Electrical Engineers to deliver Electrical products and servicesOwnership of Electrical engineering designs, processes and activitiesTo undertake accountability as a Responsible Engineer for Electrical units/subsystemsAbility to fulfill the role of Technical Authority on behalf of the Chief Engineer, as requestedLeading technical assessments, including:Concept studiesTrade studiesAnalysis of COTS solutionsEstimates for Research and DevelopmentAdhering to and leading product development engineering processes involving:Requirements definitionPreliminary / detailed designReviewProcurement / manufactureAssemblyIntegrationVerification / validationOperationsSupporting Electrical unit and integration testing and operations (may include travel to remote sites)Overseeing and sign-off of engineering designs, processes and activitiesOverseeing investigations, troubleshooting, modifications and fixes / repairsLeading architecture development, technology strategy and execution of the Electrical teamLeading the budget, programmatic and people management of the Electrical teamLeading Electrical engineering production activities associated with the Launch Vehicle product linesDemonstrating desirable role model traits for junior engineers to look up toCoordinating with the Mechanical, Propulsion and Production engineering departmentsLeading engagement with the Satellite, Launch Site and Defence programs, as well as external suppliers, subcontractors and stakeholdersSupport forecasting and programmatic allocation of resources across work packagesEnsuring that engineering activities are conducted and documented in accordance with Gilmour Space policies, plans and proceduresOther duties as requested by ManagementMandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or a relevant qualification5+ years of experience in professional Electrical design engineering settings (excluding internships)3+ years of end-to-end Electrical product development experienceIn-depth understanding of Systems Engineering practicesNV1 Security Clearance eligibleMaintains or is eligible for CPENG and RPEQProven ability to operate in dynamic, fast paced environmentsDemonstrated resilience in high stress situationsDesired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:We recognize you may not meet all of the below, but don't let that deter you.
