Recognition: Service and recognition awards for your dedication Your Role: Reporting to the Principal Engineer – Milling & Process, the Senior Designer will be responsible for providing design and drafting services, managing the company drawing system and maintaining team drafting standards that are compliant to Australian and internal standards.
You'll be tasked with developing safe and efficient mechanical designs, defining/documenting stakeholder scope requirements, identifying external resource assistance needs and collaborating with the project team throughout design and construction activities.
About You: We're seeking a proactive individual who thrives on identifying opportunities to challenge themselves in a compacted work schedule.
You will be instrumental in mitigating business risks by fostering cost reduction and work control through standardization, effective project designs, and applying robust work management principles.
As a minimum you will hold or be progressing towards holding: Mechanical Trade Certificate with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a design role.
OR Associate-Degree, Advanced-Diploma AQF level 6 in Engineering and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a design role.
Advanced experience in and knowledge of modern drafting systems (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Mechanical to Design Drafting level or Supervising Drafter level).
(Autodesk Inventor is an advantage).
Specific knowledge / experience in Mechanical and Structural engineering drafting.
General knowledge / experience in Civil, Hydraulic and Pneumatic engineering drafting.
Understanding of Quality Control regarding drawings and projects.
Understanding of drawing storage systems.
Experience in and knowledge of the raw sugar manufacturing process is well regarded but not essential.
Computer literacy in Microsoft applications and Maintenance Management systems including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP applications (SAP).
Strong Demonstrated WHS & E knowledge.
