New and exciting program to empower healthcare planning and reform through connected data Full time fixed term to 30 June 2026 (potential for extension) Location: Hobart  (Launceston or Ulverstone by negotiation) About theopportunity We have a newly created, rare opportunity for a motivated Lead to join us in providing technical and project leadership in the planning, establishment, and implementation of the TasLink data linkage program for Tasmania – partnering with the Tasmanian Government, Tasmanian Data Linkage Unit, Australian Government and national Primary Health Network Cooperative.  Tasmania is only the second region in Australia to explore linking general practice data with jurisdictional administrative datasets! What you would be doing The Lead – Data Linkage Projects and Partnerships will contribute to the capability of delivering a regularly refreshed dataset that will help us understand patient journeys across the Tasmanian Health System, and measure the impact of population health initiatives on patient health outcomes and experience. Reporting to the Manager – Digital Transformation you will: Provide leadership in planning, establishing and implementing the TasLink data linkage program Work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to design a linked health dataset Project manage initial analysis and reporting against the linked dataset Work with internal communications team to design website presence and marketing strategy for the program Assist in developing a comprehensive data and quality improvement program for general practice and other primary health organisations, while supporting internal business units for implementation Here's what you'll look like Solid data linkage expertise – understanding of methodology and processes such as data integration, validation, metadata and data standard and curation support Ability to engage and work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders involved in the project  Proven project management success in meeting project timelines and achieving results The ability to go beyond the statistical and technical by showing vision and creativity, communicate clearly and persuasively and be able to work well with everyone involved in the project to pull it all together You'll be a culture champion – understanding that every day, you play an important part of what makes Primary Health Tasmania a great place to work Benefits of working with us…  Salary packaging up to $15,900 – less tax means more take home pay Up to $2,650 of pre-tax income can be used to pay for entertainment expenses (meals, holiday accommodation etc.) Hybrid working option – blend of working from the office and home-based office (after 6 months of employment) Discounted private health insurance Generous leave and family care benefits, such as; additional 5 days of paid Carer's Leave per year, paid Parental Leave, 3 days of paid leave between Christmas and New Year Relocation assistance may be considered Friendly and inclusive workplace culture which embraces the diversity of its people Here's some information about us…  We are a not-for-profit organisation funded by the Australian Government to connect care and keep Tasmanians well and out of hospital.
