Lead Data Engineer

Sydney CBD with some WFH12 + 12 + 12 month contractNV1 Security Clearance preferredOur client, a large and well-funded Federal Government entity focused on agriculture, is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join their team in March.
Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing structured and unstructured data from various sources.Create and maintain data models and architectures to ensure optimized storage, processing, and retrieval.Configure, manage, and optimize relational and non-relational databases to support analytical and operational needs.Build, monitor, and optimize Extract, Transform, Load (ETL/ELT) processes for efficient data integration and transformation.Criteria: Proven experience in designing and building data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data architectures.Strong proficiency in programming languages such as SQL and Python.Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, ElasticSearch).Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and data tools like Apache Spark or Kafka.To apply for this interesting and long Lead Data Engineer contract opportunity, please apply or call Matt on (02) 6299 1006.
